Event: Substance Use and Addiction Conversations - Part 1 of 3
Date: Sunday, Jul 14, 2024
Time: 1:00 PM — 2:30 PM
Join Rev. Charlotte Cramer, founder of the Temple of the Forgotten and head chaplain at the Street Chaplaincy in San Rafael, in a three-part conversation on substance use and addiction. Together, we will dive into the myths, facts, biases and narratives around one of the most taboo topics in America today- substance use and substance abuse. The goal is to reconstruct the conversation around these sensitive topics from a place of education, awareness and compassion. The first session will be hybrid in person in Bortin Hall and on Zoom from 1 to 2:30 pm on July 14th, after Rev. Charlotte delivers the Justice Sunday message! The second session will be on Zoom only on July 17th, from 5 to 6:30 pm. The final session will be on Zoom only on July 24th, from 5 to 6:30 pm. Please register by clicking the link on the MDUUC calendar.
We are excited to learn from Rev. Charlotte Cramer and help raise our awareness together as a community centered on love.
