Author Talk
The Library Committee is proud to present our first Author Talk with our own Rosalyn Story, author of 4 books. And So I Sing was used to make a PBS documentary in which Rosalyn appeared as a commentator and served as consultant. She received a $40,000 MPower artist grant from the Sphinx Organization to make her novel Wading Home into an opera which Rosalyn co-produced and performed as co-librettist. The opera debuted in Dallas, then traveled to New Orleans. In 2018 the cast, crew, and orchestra traveled to South Africa and performed in multiple locations. Her most recent publication, Sing Her Name, published in 2022, won the mid-west book award in fiction/historical/contemporary. It is this latest book that she will share with us in the library at 12:30, Sunday, March 9th. Join us in this intimate setting as we get better acquainted with fellow member Rosalyn and her many accomplishments.
